How to: Add Image to PDF
- Select your PDF and choose the image or logo to add.
- Set position, width, margin, opacity and which pages.
- Download the PDF with the image placed.
Adding a company logo to a report, a “Paid” stamp to an invoice or a photo to a form normally needs a paid PDF editor. Here you choose a PDF and an image, set where the image goes and how big it should be, and apply it to all pages or just the ones you need. The original text stays selectable because the image is added as a new layer.
Common uses
- Brand reports, proposals and price lists with your logo.
- Stamp invoices or documents as Paid, Approved or Copy.
- Add a photo to application forms and certificates.
- Place a QR code on flyers, menus or tickets.
Tips for best results
- Use a transparent PNG logo for the cleanest result.
- Width is a percentage of page width – 15–25% suits most logos.
- Lower opacity to 20–30% for a subtle background mark.
- Use page ranges such as 1 or 2-10 to skip cover pages.
Positioning and sizing
Choose one of seven positions – corners, top or bottom centre, or the centre of the page – and a margin in millimetres from the edge. Height is calculated from the image's proportions, so it never looks stretched. Pages of different sizes in the same PDF each get the image at the same relative position.
Rotation and opacity
Rotate the image for diagonal stamps and reduce opacity for watermark-style logos. For text watermarks, use Add Watermark to PDF instead.
Private processing
The PDF is edited with pdf-lib inside your browser, so confidential documents stay on your device.

Frequently asked questions
Which image formats can I add
PNG, JPG, WEBP, GIF, SVG, BMP and HEIC images are supported. Transparent PNG and SVG logos keep their transparency on the page.
Can I put the image behind the text
Yes. Tick “Place behind page content” to draw the image underneath existing text – useful for faint background logos. Pages with a solid white background may hide images placed behind them.
