Resume or CV?
In the United States and Canada a resume is a short summary of experience, usually one or two pages, while a CV is a longer academic record. In the UK, Ireland, Australia, India and much of Europe, “CV” is the everyday word for what Americans call a resume. The builder works for both – add sections as needed and choose the right paper size.
Writing the experience section
Type each job as one block: the first line holds the role, company and dates separated by vertical bars, followed by bullet lines that start with a dash. Leave a blank line between jobs. The builder lays out titles in bold, dates on the right and bullets with consistent spacing, and moves to a new page when needed.
