How to: PowerPoint to PDF Converter
- Select one or more PPTX files (or a ZIP).
- Choose one combined PDF or one PDF per file.
- Click Start and download the PDF.
Fileopia turns Microsoft PowerPoint (.pptx) presentations into PDFs that open identically on every device – ideal for sharing, printing or uploading to portals that only accept PDF. Everything happens locally in your browser.
Common uses
- Send a deck or report to someone without the original software.
- Upload to job, university or government portals that require PDF.
- Print handouts reliably without layout shifts.
- Archive documents in a format that will open in 20 years.
Tips for best results
- Embed or use common fonts in the original for the closest match.
- Combine several files into one PDF with bookmarks for easy navigation.
- Use Compress PDF afterwards if the file must be under an email limit.
How it works
Each slide is rendered at 1920 px wide – positions, theme colours, backgrounds, pictures, shapes, tables, bullets and fonts – and placed on a PDF page with the slide’s exact aspect ratio. Text is drawn into the slide image, so the PDF looks exactly like the slides but text is not selectable – run OCR PDF afterwards for searchable text. Charts, SmartArt, animations, transitions, embedded video and EMF/WMF clip-art are not rendered; gradients are approximated with a solid colour.
Compared with iLovePDF, Smallpdf and Adobe
Those services upload your file to their servers and limit free use (Smallpdf: a couple of tasks per day; Sejda: 3 tasks per hour and 50 MB; Adobe: sign-in for most conversions). Fileopia converts locally with no account and no limits.
Share presentations that look right everywhere
A PowerPoint file depends on the fonts, version and settings of the computer that opens it. Send it as PDF and every recipient sees your slides exactly as designed – on a phone, a Mac without Office or a conference room PC. Fileopia converts PPTX presentations to PDF inside your browser, so confidential pitch decks and board slides are never uploaded.
What you get
- One page per slide at the presentation's own size (16:9, 4:3 or custom).
- Text, shapes, images and tables are drawn into the PDF; text stays selectable and searchable.
- Batch – convert several decks into one combined PDF with a bookmark per file, or a ZIP of separate PDFs.
- PPTX family – PPTX, PPSX (slide shows), POTX (templates) and PPTM. For LibreOffice presentations use ODP to PDF.
- No watermark and no limits.
How to convert PowerPoint to PDF
- Drop one or more PPTX files.
- Choose one combined PDF or one PDF per file.
- Click Convert and download.
Tips for faithful slides
- Use common fonts (Calibri, Arial, Segoe, Times). Unusual fonts may be substituted.
- Animations and transitions do not exist in PDF – each slide is shown in its final state.
- Embedded videos and audio cannot play in a PDF; add a link to them on the slide instead.
- Old binary .ppt files: open and save them as .pptx in PowerPoint, Google Slides or LibreOffice for best results.
- Need a smaller file for e-mail? Run the result through Compress PDF.
PowerPoint's own export vs this tool
PowerPoint can export via File → Save As → PDF, and offers handouts and notes pages. Google Slides offers File → Download → PDF. This tool is the quick option when you do not have PowerPoint installed, are on a Chromebook or phone, or need to convert a folder of decks in one go without uploading them anywhere.
Common uses
- Sending pitch decks to investors and clients.
- Sharing lecture slides with students.
- Submitting conference presentations to organisers who require PDF.
- Archiving training materials.
- Printing slides or combining them with other documents using Merge PDF.
Going the other way
Received a PDF that you need to present or edit as slides? PDF to PowerPoint turns each page into a slide with editable text boxes.
Privacy
Unreleased product plans, financial results and strategy decks are exactly the kind of files that should not be uploaded to unknown servers. Conversion here happens in your browser, and works offline once the page has loaded.
