EAN-13 structure
EAN-13 encodes a GS1 prefix (identifying the issuing country organisation, not where products are made), a company number, an item number and a check digit. ISBNs for books are EAN-13 codes starting with 978 or 979.
Printing guidelines
The standard size is about 37.3 × 25.9 mm and can be scaled roughly 80–200%. Use SVG for print, keep the white quiet zones, and test with a phone scanner app before ordering labels.
