How to: Delete PDF Pages
- Select your PDF.
- Tap the pages you want to remove.
- Click Start and download the PDF.
Blank scans, duplicate pages, outdated appendices or pages with personal details often need to go before you share a document. Fileopia shows every page as a thumbnail so you can see exactly what you are removing, and builds the new file locally.
Common uses
- Remove blank pages left by a double-sided scanner.
- Drop advert or cover pages from a downloaded report.
- Remove pages with personal information before sending a document to a third party.
- Trim a long manual down to the sections you actually need.
Tips for best results
- Zoom in on thumbnails when pages look similar.
- Your original file is never modified – keep it until you have checked the result.
- To keep a few pages rather than delete many, Extract PDF Pages is quicker.
One tool for page clean-up
Instead of using separate tools to rotate, delete and reorder pages, Organize PDF shows the whole document as a page grid. Make all changes at once and export a single clean PDF.
Typical clean-up workflow
Scan a batch of documents, delete blank pages, rotate sideways ones, drag pages into order and export. Then compress the result if you need to email it.
Works on any device
Thumbnails are generated in your browser, so even large PDFs can be reorganised on a laptop, tablet or phone without uploading them to a server.
Remove unwanted pages in a few clicks
Scanned stacks with blank backs, reports with an outdated appendix, a contract that should go out without the internal cover sheet – removing pages is one of the most common PDF jobs. Fileopia shows every page as a thumbnail so you can see exactly what you are deleting, and it works entirely in your browser so the document is never uploaded.
Three ways to choose pages
- Click thumbnails – tap any page to mark it for deletion; tap again to keep it.
- Type a range – enter 2,5-8 and click Mark pages to select many pages at once.
- Mark blank pages – automatically finds empty pages (common in duplex scans) and marks them.
- Undo – step back through your marking if you change your mind.
- Rotate or reorder too – each thumbnail has rotate and move buttons, so you can tidy the document in the same step.
How to delete pages from a PDF
- Drop your PDF onto the page and wait for thumbnails to appear.
- Click the pages to remove, type a range, or click Mark blank pages.
- Check the counter showing how many pages are marked.
- Click Delete pages and download the new PDF. The original on your disk stays unchanged.
Lossless and safe
The remaining pages are copied unchanged into a new PDF – no re-rendering, no quality loss, selectable text and working links. The removed pages are genuinely gone from the new file, not hidden, so you can share it without leaking the deleted content.
How blank page detection works
Each page thumbnail is analysed for dark pixels. Pages where almost nothing is printed – fully white or with only scanner dust – are marked. Pages with a faint header or a page number are kept, which avoids deleting intentionally sparse pages. Always glance at the marked thumbnails before saving.
Delete, extract or split?
| You want to… | Use |
|---|---|
| Remove a few pages and keep the rest | Delete PDF pages (this tool) |
| Keep only a few pages | Extract PDF pages |
| Cut the document into several files | Split PDF |
| Reorder, rotate and delete together | Organize PDF |
Common uses
- Removing blank backs from duplex scans.
- Taking out internal notes before sending a document to a client.
- Dropping outdated appendices from reports.
- Removing advertising pages from downloaded statements.
- Shrinking a file by removing pages nobody needs, before Compress PDF.
Working with large documents
Thumbnails are rendered on your device, so a few hundred pages load in seconds on a modern laptop. Typing a range is the fastest way to remove big blocks, such as 120-180, without scrolling through every thumbnail.
