Tips for best results

How frames are decoded

The video is read directly from the file on your device with the Mediabunny library and decoded with the browser's hardware-accelerated WebCodecs API. Only the requested timestamps are decoded, so extracting a few frames from a long video is quick.

Timestamps in file names

Each image is named with its sequence number and time, for example clip-07-1m23.50s.jpg, so you can find the exact moment in the original video later.
